Kozhikode, May 4 : Aan Augstine and Praveen won best new comer actress and actor awards instituted by ALA for their films ''Elsamma Enna Ankutty''' and ''Katha Thudarunne,'' respectively.
Amateur Little Cinema (ALA), affiliated to the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy and Federation of Film Societies of India, also selected actors R Sukukaran and Mamukkoya for 'Chalachitra Prathiba' and 'Abhinaya Prathibha' Awards respectively, its President J R Prasad and Secretary P M Chandrasekharan told reporters here today.Premlal and Mohan Raghavan were adjudged best newcomer director and scripwriter respectively.
T K Santosh Kumar, George Pulikkan won Visual Media Awards for 'Natakame Ulakam'-(Amrita TV) and 'Politrics' (India Vision TV) respectively.
In the literature section, Writers Bhanu Prakash, V K Joseph, Asianet Kozhikode Bureau Chief Shajahan K, Veteran actor K P A C Lalitha won awards for their works ''Holy Actor,' 'Desam, Pourathwam, Cinema' and Thiraseelayile Pachilakal,' respectively.
Mathrubhumi Books and Writer T Krishanunni were winners of special awards.
The awards would be presented at a function here on May 9, they said adding ALA also proposed to felicitate film personalities and writers P V Gangadharan, T Damodaran, P K Gopi, P R Nathan and T A Rasaq.
