Kozhikode, Jan 17 : Legendary actor Jayan, who died in an chopper accident three decades ago, is all set to enthrall film buffs again in a new Malayalam venture ''Avataram,'' recreating him using sophisticated technology.
Talking to newspersons here today, its Director Vijeesh Mani of ''Bhulokarakshakan'' fame said 12 experts from the Hollywood are engaged in the mega project using latest technology.Expected to hit the silver sreen by this April, he said it would be the maiden film project in the world recreating a deceased actor under the stewardship of famed Hollywood expert Richard Halley.
Dialogue of the big budget film are by T A Shahid of superhits ''Balettan'' and ''Rajamanikkyam'' fame and well-known Bollywood music director Sanjay Choudhary, son of Salil Choudhary and lyricist Sharatchandran Vayalar, son of Vayalar Ramavarma, join hands for the project.
Newphew of actor Kannan Nair was also associated with the project as animation expert, he said.
Jointly produced by Sudheer, M Ramachadra Menon and Rajesh Aattukal, the flick was M C Valsaraj and P K Rojy as project coordinators, he added.
Foraying into the industry after a 16-year stint as a sailor in the Indian Navy, Jayan, who appeared in numerous films in 1970s as action hero, died at the age of 41 in an accident while filming a stunt scene in a helicoper on November 16, 1980.
Unique dialogue delivery style and machismo image of Jayan, who had acted in 126 films, is still imitated on stage and television by mimicry artists.
